Angies List - Customer Care Review from Boynton Beach, Florida

After one year of paying for the chance to get business from Angies List I have come to the conclusion that I would tell any contractor to run far from the 1 year trap they ensnare you in. I am a paying customer and after I made the commitment for what would be 2 car payments monthly they tell me I need to pay additional fees to get leads from their "NEW" program while I get ZERO calls from the service I paid for !! Saying they are Unethical is being nice !!!

On Aug 24, I purchased a house cleaning "Big Deal" from Angies List that was sent to me by Angies List in an email. On the Big Deal ad Angies List stated that the company would contact me within forty eight hours. It is Sept. 9 and I have had no contact. I have...

I got ripped off for $1499 for a "Big Deal" on Angie's List. It's rating system doesn't seem to any longer be for the benefit of the consumer, but instead for the contractors who pay to be on their list. I've bought several "Deals" promoted by Angie's List and all have been far less than quality, as indicated by the "A" rating on Angie's List.

Angies List in Venice, Florida - Cannot get auto renew to cancel

I called the first time this charged for auto renew and they assured me it wouldn't happen again. Well, here it is a year later and guess what, another charge for auto renew. I call and the very nice customer service representative offers me many, many different choices that also cost money and probably auto renew. End result after saying no 20 times is an email to cancel auto renew and a refund of the last one. Will update if this happens but not holding my breath. I thought this company was supposed to be fair, not so. For a company that touts ethics, I would think they would not *** you into paying for a service you don't want or use. Why can't they let you decide if you want to continue the service or not. Auto renew is not convenient for anyone except the company getting the money.

Angies List - Customer Care Review

They are definitely corrupt and a scam! They called me as soon as I got a bad review which was from someone that had never been a customer of mine. They don't verify if people have actually used the service or not. They try to get you to buy good reviews from them to push down the bad review. I hope there is a class action against this piece of *** company I will definitely join in!

Very Deceptive practices!

I was new to Odessa, TX and trying to find a physician. While researching, Angie's List ads kept popping up saying "Read reviews of Dr.

So and So on Angie's List". I finally decided to sign up. After I did, the specific doctors listed in her google ads were not listed at all on her site. I consider that false advertising.

Since I had signed up for a year, I decided to use for other services. I found very little and thought that it was just the Midland/Odessa area. But I spoke with my sister who lives in the Dallas area and she said she found very few listings for handyman type services so she cancelled. That's pretty bad if the Dallas metroplex is lacking.

I hired a web designer based on glowing reviews on Angies List.

She was horrible. I thought the people that gave her good reviews must have been very easy to please. Now I am reading about negative reviews being removed from businesses that pay for a better listing. I stopped even trying to use Angie's list anymore.

After a year, I saw that they pulled an annual enrollment fee from my PayPal account.

I was not aware that I was set up on autopay.

I sure wouldn't want my personal name and face associated with such deceptive practices. I can't believe she has the nerve to advertise on national TV!

please feel free to email me at 24hourlockandhammer@gmail.com

I am already in the lawyer contact phase about suing angies list over refusal to remove personal info from there website and regarding false bad reviews. I have nothing else to say but this thing is making me write more in order to post.
