I bought a Big Deal Coupon for 1499.00 on Angie's List for a ceramic shower surround, with demolition, installation, removal of debris and tile all inclusive. I bought the coupon in February, the work started in March, demolition. By the end of May, nothing but...

Angies List in Doylestown, Pennsylvania - Unresolved refund
Could not get call back (waited weeks) to transfer credit (originally requested refund due to an A rated contractor no-show on scheduled day and no contact to reschedule) this credit was to go toward purchase of similar promotions which due to delay where missed. Later requested refund to select my own offeres instead of relying on Angie's list nonresponsive office and experienced same holdup only to offered back to the credit transfer endless loop. Tier 2 supervisors could not communicate between each other to resolve my problem and only throwing my case between their "big deal" promotion wall with endless promises of the others teams supervisor will immediately callback to me, with no response. Every attemp for me to contact the expert assigned to my case would go straight to voicemail or comment such as "she just left for the day, she's not in today, she's on lunch, she's here but is about to call someone else back, she's on vacation" .
Angies List - Review from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
I submitted a negative review about a contractor. That contractor had other negative reviews from others. When I later searched Angie's List to see if that contractor had any more reviews, that contractor could not be found on the list and had zero reviews listed. When I contacted an Angie's List rep TWICE, they said the same thing. They said that the contractor was removed because he had too many bad reviews. I told them that people need to see these reviews so that they know who they are hiring. If you simply erase them from the list most people will assume that the must be OK because there are no negative reviews. Angie's List is doing poor contractors a favor by erasing the bad reviews. All the reps said was "I understand what you're saying but that's our policy." So I asked for my money back. What a joke!
Angies List in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Charged for NO service
I decided to join because I needed work done quickly and didn't want to hire someone blindly. I "joined", but could not access any information, the site kept telling me I needed to "join", when I tried to re-join, I was told I already had an account. Minutes into the "membership", I contacted them saying I can no longer be bothered with the BS... I was told that "no charges" were incurred... This was 4/18/14. Since then, I've received garbage snail mail from "Angie's List"... When I checked my bank account, I'd been charged on 4/21/14 a FULL 3 DAYS AFTER I was assured I'd been charged nothing... Absolute BS company - STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angies List in Norristown, Pennsylvania - Angie's list is all about themselves and making money.
I signed up with Angie's list over 3 months ago after getting a call from their marketing team. They said if I paid them $120 a month 10,000 people would see my companies name. I said great sign me up. Well after 3 months I have not gotten any calls through Angie's list, no new customers. But I get calls from Angie's list Marketing team every week wanting me to sign up for all these other ads. They even want me to release all my customers info to them so they can get reviews from them, but all their concerned with is landing more Angie's list members. What a scam. Paying thousands of dollars for a referral. Its alot cheaper and more guaranteed to just buy your customers gift cards for their word of mouth. So I canceled my Angie's list ad. I paid a total of $700 in 3 months for absolutely nothing. Should've just went to the casino. Screw Angie's list, and all the businesses that are doing the same thing. Legal fraud, selling hard working contractors a pipe dream.
Angies List in North East, Pennsylvania - Angie's List is a Scam! They will close your account if you look at too many listings!
I paid to look for movers in the state of Arizona and I looked at 25 different listings that she had on her website in one day and they shut down my account automatically for exceeding their daily search limit! I paid to look at their listings and they said I looked too much? This place is a SCAM!!!!! How can they charge you to access their listings and then say you are looking too much, but nowhere on their website does it say you can only look at a certain number of listings per day. Stay clear of Angies List!

Angies List - waste of money
I Sumitted info to 7 Angie's List contractors for some trim work around newly installed windows and doors. ONLY one contractor bothered to return my call and he told me that it was too small of a job for him to bother with. I was willing to pay top dollar for quality work. I found an independant contractor on my own who did a great job at a reasonable price. Angie talks the talk on TV - but her contractors don't walk the walk. I no longer subscibe to Angie's List - waste of money and promises she can't keep.
Unable to cancel Angies List -terrible service
I had received an email saying they could not process my renewal payment. I called their number, waited a ridiculous amount of time and ended up having a web chat. i explained why I was unhappy and said to cancel my service. The person said it would be cancelled November 2013! I told her to have someone call me. She said I'd hear from someone in 24 hrs. It's now over 48 hours and no call. If they bill me, I'm filing a complaint with the BBB. Even without the cancellation experience, I would tell people it's not worth the money.
My wife and I were just harassed at our home by a contractor I never even hired thanks to Angies List. I had lodged a complaint on Angies as the contractor strung us along and blew us off to make bigger money. Our job was urgent at the time. The contractor comes to our...
