Beware Tipton's Plumbing (Moore). Was a bit disappointed with the $85 charge for an estimate and offer to do a $200 job for (replacing kitchen sink) $710.

The plumber came to the house and looked at the job and admitted it looked like an easy, straightforward swap of old, 20 yr. old sink to a new light, double stainless steel sink. He took a cigarette break and called his boss to get the estimate for this 91 year old women's kitchen sink replacement. The job was an easy access (no post on the cabinetry) and complete match of sink so there would be no new lines involved.

When I refused the offer of $625, he said they would negotiate but never counteroffered. So I paid $85 for a ten minute discussion and an estimate. He drove about 7 miles from Moore to house in Norman. Total ripoff or attempt to take advantage of a senior.

He said they do a lot of sewer line and plumbing leak work, so maybe they don't do much of this kind of work. I have done sink and fixture and garbage disposer replacements before and it wasn't that difficult and there were no leaks if plumbing tape or putty is used appropriately.

He tried to make it require a plumber's license to get the job done correctly and that would cost over $600 for two hours or less of work. I didn't realize plumbers made $300 an hour.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Good thing we offer up front prices. It does require a Plumber to do job,and have inspected by the city of Norman. Owner Zach Tipton
