Angies List review in Dallas, Texas: Angie's List is a Farce!
Even here they list that there is only one price for full access to their listings. But, they lie. After paying the $50+ for a year membership, and then try to find a dentist, they tell you that's another list and you must pay another $50.00. They had it discounted to $25.00, but when I signed up, that was supposed to be all I paid to use the full listings of the service. There are muiltiple lists and each carries a price. They don't tell you this until AFTER you sign up. How deceptive. This is not how to start a business relation with someone, by lying up front. Further, after I joined, the phone calls started from Angie's List asking me to give more reports. I was hounded with calls and finally cancelled the service. I'm not paying $25 just to find a dentist after I paid $50 already for what I was told was complete access. I should have told them to pay me for my reports. They use false advertising and every other deceptive trade and then USE their customers. You are a commodity, not a customer.

Angies List review in Plano, Texas: Angie's List is Not For Businesses, Either!
A Client posted a Report on Angie's List that was very pleasing. Angie's List then called me and gave me all 1000 reasons I needed to sign up myself--mainly to "Scout out the Competition"--I did. I created a Business Owner site as well. I handed out the "Reports" to be filled out by my Customers and dropped in the mail-free postage! WOW, not one mailed in report seem to get into the system--and I mailed one Clients' as walking out her door one day- for her! Next, I asked my Clients to review me online instead and I sent the link. "Where do I Review you"...sorry, the CORRECT word is REPORT-now can you find it??? 3 times in one week! Now I have reviews only I can see--not you, just me! Why?? Because they didn't buy a Membership!! Their opinion is not of VALUE if they are not a Member. Now.. is this suppose to help a business? By paying money does that mean the review (REPORT, sorry) is "Verifiable"? NO IT DOESN'T!! But this is what it says above those REPORTS: "This report wasn't submitted by an Angie's List member. It is unverified and won't show on Angie's List. Non-member reports don't factor in to current or overall grades" WOW! Huh? I might as well give all my Clients the money to REPORT me and then MAYBE Angie's List will be beneficial?? Let's see if that happens! If you are a Business, don't expect reviews--damnit...REPORTS!!!!

Angies List review in Pettus, Texas: Wasted my Time
2 Minutes to sign up on Angies List; 5 min to find it does not give you anymore info than already out there; 20 mins to cancel order. It may work for others but it is a pain to find out as you can not sample or review it before you buy it. It really makes no since that you can give them your money in seconds, but if you want it back well that is a different nature.. This information age is not working for the consumer because the business is still only interested in themselves. They do not offer us on-line tools for complaints or refunds as quick as they do to purchase.
The big deal works like this: you get an email from Angie's List with a discounted service (tree trimming, carpet cleaning, .etc). If you like the offer, you sign up for the coupon and the price (discounted) is paid for with your credit card (on file as you have to...

I signed up for Angie's list and used them once, but they kept charging my credit card with an automatic yearly fee renewal. You gotta read the fine print! When I finally figured out what was happening and complained, Angie's list refused to remove the charge. ...
